About Capstone

Capstone is a two quarter course designed for Sustainable Agriculuture and Food Systems students. Teams partner with a client or clients in order to tackle challenges that their organization may be having.

"Capstone started as all of us just being peers, but now we're friends and depend on each other. I think it's really cool that a class can do that for us."

Sprouting SA&FS

Members of the Sprouting SA&FS  team are so passionate about the major that they formed a capstone group dedicated to seeing it improve. Based upon their experiences as a group and as individuals, Sprouting SA&FS developed the opportunity statement below in their first quarter of capstone.

Opportunity Statement

SA&FS is a young major that has the resources and the potential to support a network of people who are engaged in the food system. The major needs to provide a framework in which students are able to utilize all of the available resources. We have the opportunity to create a cohesive environment that connects students with faculty and peers to successfully share knowledge.
